My dear friends! Such blessed hours are approaching us in the name of Ramadan, which the Prophets (peace be upon them) and the great saints (may Allah have mercy on them) used to wait impatiently for.
There are twelve months in a year; the first six months are for preparations for Ramadan, and the next six months are for seeking forgiveness and regret, saying, "Oh, I wish I had worshipped..."! I would have remembered...! I would have talked to Allah...!
I would have asked Allah for my needs...."! It is found in the lives of the great saints that they used to fast as much as possible to welcome the six months of Ramadan.
My Sheikh Hazrat Khawaja Syed Muhammad Abdullah Hajveri (may Allah have mercy on him) once said in the holy month of Ramadan: Look, this Ramadan is the best way of training for every Muslim and especially for the seekers (a seeker is someone concerned about following the path of Allah’s love and who has given his hand to a poor person).
It is the best way of training a seeker. And then he said that his training is to obey every command without any reason or evidence. O Allah! All these things are halal; why did you forbid them for us? Allah, these are halal things; we can eat them. He said: We have given them, we are testing you whether you obey us or you obey yourself.
Do you follow your mood and your nature, or do you follow your mood and your nature? Do you follow what you want, or do you follow what the Lord wants?
